Good Funds Law Change

Recent changes to Utah’s Good Funds Law requires title companies to have collected and cleared money in order to disburse funds. This means that consumers will be to wire funds rather than bringing a cashier’s check to closing. Some title companies may not require it in certain situations, but don’t risk a costly delay in your closing.

Play it safe and prepare ahead for your closing day. Your title company or your Axiom Mortgage Consultant will provide specific instructions for wiring funds. It is easy to do and the best way to be sure your closing stays on track. We want you to have a great home-buying experience and preparing you for what’s ahead is part of how we make that happen. For more information, talk to Your Axiom Mortgage Consultant – the experts in smooth, on-time closings.
